This is a market with a long history. Their website claims that the area has attracted traders as early as 1014. Having obviously gone through many changes since then the market is a modern, cohesive space but one where you can see it's history and tradition all around.
With friendly traders, an abundance of global food and a fantastic choice of meals to go, this busy market is definitely one of the city's best. Many of the stalls had long lunchtime queues of hungry city workers - we opted for some freshly made vegetarian curry. The trader recommended a bit of everything (about 4-5 different curries & side dishes) which meant I didn't really have a clue what I was really eating, but if something tastes so delicious, does it really matter?
