The fourth annual Sunflowerfest begins tomorrow for 3 days at Tubby's Farm, just outside Hillsborough. If you can't make the whole weekend, pick up a Sunday ticket (weather permitting!) to see some new local music and soak up a little Electric Picnic vibe.
Féile Belfast has an excellent programme this year for it's 25 anniversary and there is a great line up for the Big Tent this weekend in Falls Park which includes The Coronas and Damien Dempsey.
I always love the 'Sunday Treats' from The Festival of Fools in St. Anne's Square. Grab an outdoor table at one of the restaurants at 2pm or 4pm for 'Mr H'.
The Open House Festival Bangor runs for all of August, and I am loving the idea of watching the movie 'Jaws' whilst swimming. Saturday night, Bangor Aurora Aquatic & Leisure Complex, screening at 8pm. Shark!
If you are near the North coast, make sure to see the free outdoor concert and fireworks display at Ramore Head on Saturday evening.
The World Police & Fire Games 2013 conclude on Saturday, but you can still be a spectator until then. Tennis, Table Tennis, Ice Hockey, Softball and Rugby, amongst others, are all scheduled for Friday and Saturday.
Outdoor Jazz is the order of the day at Castle Ward on Sunday at 3pm, so bring your finest picnic basket and a rug. I have been at this in the rain before, so tuck a gazebo under your arm just in case...
Register for The Color Run Belfast on 24th August before registration ends on Sunday - this looks like crazy good fun and has never been in Belfast before.
PS. I am looking forward to a nice breakfast. I haven't had a good Ulster Fry in over 5 weeks as breakfast consists of portable butter in Paris. Otherwise known as a pain au chocolat. I'm convinced that a fry is healthier.
Have a great weekend people.
