I first saw James Bay when he and his guitar where the opening act for Kodaline in The Limelight. I made a mental note to self: 'Jude, you like this guy. Try to see him again. He'll most probably play The Black Box or The Oh Yeah for a few silver shekels.'
Once the 4 of us got over the shock of not be able to order an alcoholic drink as this was an over 14s gig, we settled into a cosy corner with a warm beverage. But this is the crux of what The Oh Yeah is all about - being an easily accessible, educational, music centre, with resources readily available to young people with potential.
If you are someone who is interested in educating yourself a little in music, get thee to The Oh Yeah.
My 16 year old self would have loved it even more that my current old lady self - who just wanted a gin & tonic but did settle for a very nice cup of tea. Ultimate rock and roll :-)
Listen to the very lovely 'Move Together' here.
